D for Diabetes: How's it Going

Hello Everyone!

I have officially decided to blog about my experience as a new author~ the good, the bad, and the ugly! Most of you know that I started this journey off by wanting to bring awareness to T1D (Type 1 diabetes) because of my personal experience with my daughter, Annie.  I am excited to share my process of writing as well as bring awareness to those who may not know what a diabetic goes through daily.

The book launch was amazing and we had an incredible showing of love and support from family and friends. I honestly was blown away. I came home that night and took a few minutes to let it all soak in. I had an Oh My God moment as I reflected on the children who came and shared their stories. These are the moments that make it all worth it.

Our marketing team (Tom, Kath, Mom, Dan), is working on how we can get the word out and get the books into the hands of newly diagnosed T1D. We feel this is where the book belongs, going home with children from the hospital! If you know of any diabetes educators, social workers, or pediatric endocrinologists we would appreciate contact information.

I am working on book 2, Diabetes Dollars Dilemma. I can't tell you the amount of time it takes to edit a story. Constant editing! Hours! Days!

In the near future, we will be offering more products for sale! Who doesn't want more swag, especially from Annie and Friends Adventures?!

Better get back to editing! And marketing!

Have an amazing day! Jean
